WHAT WE THOUGHT
The Blu-Ray is this amazing beast finally unleashed in High Definition. John Carpenter and Dean Cundey shot the hell out of this movie and every inch of the transfer opens up new depth and extra information that was lacking from the DVD. Sure, most of the special features are direct ports from the last Special Edition DVD. What really stands out is the A/V Quality that is so crisp, you can read newspapers in the background. Hell, I could read stuff on the side of the Pork Chop Express that never even showed up on Cable or Standard Definition. This is a highly recommended release.
