“Late Night with the Devil” Shatters Records on Shudder and AMC+

Shudder, AMC Networks’ premier streaming service for horror, thrillers, and the supernatural, proudly announces that “Late Night with the Devil,” distributed by IFC Films, has achieved record-breaking success. Debuting on April 19, the film marked Shudder’s most significant opening weekend to date and quickly became the most watched and largest driver of new subscriptions on both Shudder and AMC+.

Groundbreaking Achievement

Directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes and starring David Dastmalchian, “Late Night with the Devil” surpassed previous records held by V/H/S/99 and WHEN EVIL LURKS, with a viewership increase of 85% and triple the subscriber acquisitions, respectively.

What’s Late Night with the Devil about?

Set on Halloween in 1977, the film follows Jack Delroy, the host of the syndicated late-night talk show ‘Night Owls.’ A year after a tragic personal loss and facing plummeting ratings, Jack plans a Halloween special that unwittingly unleashes an evil force into the living rooms of America.

Following a record-breaking theatrical release, the film transitioned to streaming, continuing to captivate audiences and critics alike. “Late Night with the Devil” holds a Certified Fresh rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes and has been declared the #1 Best Horror Film of 2024.
