STRIKE BACK REVIEWED
“Strike Back” follows the S20 agents for the last few missions of high-octane action. The kicker is how many times can you do man powered TV terrorist plots. I appreciate the nature of this material being given to Cinemax, but you can only keep recycling stuff so many times. Also, the Yakuza is being done far better in “Daredevil”. I dig the push to focus hard on all parts of Asia, but it’s not paying off.
That sounds like I’m being rough on the series, but that’s not the case. Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton are the greatest buddy team on premium cable. It’s just for a show with slightly foreign origins, I figured that’d know when the material is finite. I would say that I’m going to miss the show, but it should’ve ended last season.
