“Little House on the Prairie” returns with Season Six, as the show starts to move into its end game. Almanzo shows up and begins his long courtship of Laura. Hell, it was long for back then. Nellie graduates from school and is given her first business. But, that doesn’t stop Nellie from bothering the Ingalls.
I’ll always remember this season, since it had the most episodes that used to get re-aired when I was young. The Halloween episode where Albert dreams about Indians kidnapping him always freaked me out. It was something about the way it was shot that just made me shake. Couple that with the Hall of Mombi heads from “Return to Oz” and you’ve got an idea of what freaked me out as a kid.
The Blu-Ray comes with a featurette about the show. It’s more of a short length documentary, but it’s still good. The A/V Quality continues to impress with a stunning 1080p transfer. Plus, you get a supportive DTS-HD 2.0 master audio track. It’s worth a purchase for fans.
