“Killers of the Flower Moon”: Martin Scorsese’s Masterpiece Set for Premium Video-on-Demand Release

Apple Original Films is set to bring the award-winning feature “Killers of the Flower Moon,” directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese, to premium video-on-demand and electronic sell-through starting December 5, 2023. This release, in collaboration with Paramount, follows the film’s recent accolades, including being named Best Film of 2023 and Lily Gladstone winning Best Actress by the New York Film Critics Circle.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” has not only captivated audiences but also garnered significant recognition in the film industry. It received the Gotham Historical Icon and Creator Tribute at the Gotham Awards and was honored with Best Score – Feature Film at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. Additionally, the film is poised to receive the prestigious Vanguard Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards gala in January.

Adapted from David Grann’s best-selling book, directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Eric Roth and Scorsese himself, the film is set in the 1920s in Oklahoma. It chillingly portrays the serial murders of members of the oil-rich Osage Nation, an episode historically known as the Reign of Terror. The narrative is brought to life by a stellar cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, and Jillian Dion.

Produced by Apple Studios in partnership with Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions, and Appian Way, “Killers of the Flower Moon” was theatrically distributed by Paramount Pictures. The production team includes Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, Martin Scorsese, and Daniel Lupi, with executive producers Leonardo DiCaprio, Rick Yorn, Adam Somner, Marianne Bower, Lisa Frechette, John Atwood, Shea Kammer, and Niels Juul.

Mark your calendars for December 5th to experience Scorsese’s cinematic triumph from the comfort of your home, available in over 100 countries, before its global streaming debut on Apple TV+.
