“Gameplay” is a feature length look at the birth of modern video gaming in 1972. The history stretches the modern day with plenty of talking heads offering up anecdotes about their place in history. Still, it plays like one of those entertainment documentaries that you used to see on VH-1. It’s more of a checklist of things you recognize than solid documentary. Still, it’s a fun treat and feels far more informative than the recent Retroware TV documentary offerings. The DVD comes with no special features.
