THE PLOT THUS FAR
Discover how yoga can come to the aid of anyone, regardless of age and mobility, who wants to increase strength and their sense of balance, both critical for aging bodies. In this routine, Peggy demonstrates how yoga poses can potentially increase your range of motion and improve awareness of your body. This 7-part yoga routine can be done all at once, or in segments, and can be practiced with or without the assistance of a chair.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
“Easy Yoga” is back with the latest routine with Peggy Cappy. Peggy wants to teach you how to lift your old ass off the ground and begin to work out. I tried doing most of the material and I couldn’t keep up with anything that put heavy stress on the back. But, I guess that’s because I got way too into Pilates when that was a thing. Remember Pilates? My spine does!
Strength and balance is the key here. Increasing your range of motion will help to knock down most of these exercises on repeat, but I’ve got movies to watch. What I need to see is an even easier Yoga that supports my lifestyle. That being a diet of sugary snacks, red meat and Old Testament level sloth. When will PBS help to produce that Yoga DVD for me? I’ve supported you guys since the days of Square One TV and you can’t help me out, PBS? Play balls, guys. I can start voting Republican and they’re pissed that you guys aren’t supporting their juvenile Randian fantasies.
The DVD comes with a bonus video as the special features. But, it’s typical for PBS documentaries. The A/V Quality is on par with most past releases. But, that’s not like it was something that would blow out your home theater. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to the curious.
