“The Dicks from Texas” is a love letter written by the fans for the strongest underground punk band from Austin. The band advertised their show as the first ten fans with guns got to drink for free. The lead singer was a big gay guy at a time when it was still iffy in Texas. Challenging fans and playing loud punk music, it wasn’t long before they ran afoul of the authorities. The band still reunites for live shows on the rare occasion. However, this documentary exists to inform the later generation of Punk enthusiasts of the sounds they might not know existed.
