Remember when Christmas got good movies? Like Lethal Weapon, Gremlins or Die Hard?
“Paper Angels” is a TV movie loosely based on a country song and works as a free ad for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. While it’s nice to have a program that takes care of kids during the Holidays, the drama produced to keep the movie at feature length feels forced. There’s nothing in this film that warrants going over a 30 minute-1 hour special. But, I guess someone needed it to be a Holiday film. The DVD comes with no special features.
