“First Peoples” is five hours of watching the first humans live the African River Valleys to form civilization. While it’s interesting to see what made the First Peoples form together as units, the need for migration was only treated at a superficial level. I expected more for the length of the program, but I’ll take what I can get. Hopefully, PBS revisits the material next year. I could see this becoming part of an ongoing series. The DVD comes with no special features.
