THE TREASURE REVIEWED

“The Treasure” is a comedy about a couple of guys just trying to find treasure hidden on a property. While they plan for the future, the past of Eastern Europe goes all “Ida” on their asses. There’s a mix of humor and depressive details of the past culture. But, somehow everything hangs together to make for an enjoyable 90 minutes. Thankfully, the film knew when to end and not drag this stuff into melodrama material. So many other modern foreign films could take a cue, but I’m not holding my breath.
