WALKING DEAD, THE: THE COMPLETE SIXTH SEASON

THE WALKING DEAD SEASON SIX REVIEWED

“The Walking Dead” is starting to get good again. As Alexandria falls and conditions grow worse, something awful waits in the distance. I’m enjoying seeing Rick of the show become more like comic Rick. Everyone else stay fairly typical. All the while, hardcore fans are just screaming for Negan to show up. While casual viewers will learn the majesty of Negan next season, he does offer up a taste of what’s to come as the season concludes.

So much of this season was defined by death. Yeah, I know how that sounds for this show. But, this time…death changed the show’s dynamic and forced the cast into a weaker spot. While it’s been a substantial amount of time since the outbreak, newer societal models are starting to form. While The Prison and Alexandria failed, you can feel Rick and the others’ hope that something else is bound to work. Watching in desperation, as Rick leads the gang to new locales…you feel the sense that it’s all for nothing. Who knew that Daryl on the motorcycle leading the zombies would be symbolic of so much to come?
