LEGENDSOFCHIMASEASON1PART2

THE PLOT THUS FAR

Once a pristine, natural paradise, the Kingdom of Chima has become a battle ground for eight animal tribes. Best friends are now enemies. The animals fight for control of a natural resource called Chi, a powerful element that is both a source of life and potential destruction. Only a few brave heroes in Chima understand the true nature of Chi, and the possible downfall of Chima that will result from its misuse. Their stories, and the stories of those who seek to destroy them, are known as… THE LEGENDS OF CHIMA.

WHAT WE THOUGHT

“The Legends of Chima” continues with this second half of the first season. Honestly, I don’t get it. You should be worried if I got the show and dug everything that’s going on. Honestly, it looks like a really pretty toy commercial. I’m sure that if I was 6 or 7, I would be eating this up. It’s neat that the main power source has to be shared between agents of the Kingdom. Still, everything about it just feels very young.

LEGO is bigger now than when I was younger. So many licenses, so many creations and so many different applications to entice young minds. But, now everything is spelled out for you. A lion is a lion, a tiger is a tiger and it costs several hundred dollars to build The Simpsons’ house. Why do I know so many adult men that are still into this? This I say while tempting to start another round of Minecraft. I am that kind of goon.

The DVD comes with no special features. The A/V Quality is strong enough for a feature like this. The lossy Dolby 2.0 mix bugs as an audiophile. However, the transfer provides enough support for standard definition. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to young LEGO fans.
