KILLING HASSELHOFF REVIEWED
“Killing Hasselhoff” is a film in search of a working premise. It feels beneath all members of the party, but Hasselhoff sure loves playing The Hoff. While some jokes land due to Rhys Darby and Jim Jeffries working their ass off, that’s about it. Any celebrity could’ve been in the Killing title. But, the film indulges in this fading pop culture desire to give David Hasselhoff some PoMo credibility. Look at how he was handled in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 vs. here. Everyone deserved better, but damn Rhys Darby was great in this.
