GolfPass Celebrates Women’s History Month with “Celebrating Women in Golf” Campaign

This March, GolfPass, powered by NBC Sports Next, is thrilled to announce the return of its groundbreaking social campaign, “Celebrating Women in Golf,” in honor of Women’s History Month. Now in its fourth year, this campaign is dedicated to shining a light on the inspiring women making significant strides in the golf world and encouraging more women to embrace the sport in a way that best suits their lifestyle.

A Growing Presence in Golf

With women now accounting for 25% of all on-course golfers, according to the National Golf Foundation, the presence of women in the sport has never been more pronounced. GolfNow’s “New Era of Golf” study further underscores this trend, revealing that 49% of surveyed new golfers are women. This campaign aims to highlight these remarkable advancements and the diverse stories of women golfers, stressing the importance of diversity in golf and the need to support women in the sport throughout the year.

Introducing New Series and Insights

GolfPass is proud to launch two new series as part of this year’s campaign. “Celebrating Women in Golf Top Tips,” premiering on March 5, features professional golfers and GolfPass instructors like Nathalie Sheehan and Blair O’Neal offering valuable advice for improving your golf game. On March 19, “Golfer’s Guide: Swing Sequencing” with Sheehan will debut, focusing on strategies to perfect your golf swing sequence.

Amanda Norvell, Senior Vice President, DTC Services & Portfolio Marketing at NBC Sports Next, expressed enthusiasm about showcasing women who are leading the sport’s growth. “The roles of women inside the industry are as diverse as those who play the game, and we’re thankful we’re able to share their stories,” said Norvell.

In collaboration with NBC Sports’ On Her Turf, GolfPass will increase campaign visibility through Instagram collaborations, social shares, and newsletter features. Additionally, the campaign will feature video interviews with LPGA Tour stars, weekly Instagram takeovers by NCAA women golfers, and spotlights on partner golf courses.

Supporting Women in Sports and Film

In line with GolfPass’ mission to recognize iconic women in sports, Rotten Tomatoes has unveiled “The 10 Essential Women’s Sports Movies” list, featuring inspiring titles like “A League of Their Own” and “Bend It Like Beckham,” further driving attention to the “Women in Golf” campaign.
