DEEPWATER HORIZON REVIEWED
“Deepwater Horizon” has slipped mostly from my memory, so I’ll be brief. Peter Berg is an incredibly hit-and-miss director, but the guy has chops. Flipping what could’ve been a bland dramatization into a compelling slice of human drama should be applauded. That being said, the film will make you crazy realizing what happened and how people responded. Still, it’s the first movie in ages that had a strong Kate Hudson performance. The least said about Malkovich’s accent, the better. Check it out if you have the time. It should still be playing in theaters.
