BOOM FOR REAL REVIEWED
“Boom for Real” tells the story of young Basquiat. If you haven’t seen the biopic or anything about the artist, then this won’t be for you. However, I enjoy the hell out of anything made about the art scene of the early 1980s. Does it traipse into hero worship a bit? Sure. But, he’s a good guy and deserves the attention. Check out one of the 100 greatest documentaries of 2018. Naturally, I expect 2019 to struggle to get to 5 good docs.
