BLACKBEARD (2006) REVIEWED

“Blackbeard” is a mini-series from a decade ago that sports an early showing from Jessica Chastain. It’s a Hallmark Channel production, so it played super cheap. But, if your kids just like basic pirate action…it’ll work for them. Honestly, I’m enjoying Mill Creek going back and collecting these TV mini-series on Blu. There are a ton of amazing acting performances that have fell out of mainstream attention. Plus, it’s a lengthy presentation coming in just under 3 hours.

The Plot Thus Far

In the Golden Age of Piracy, at the dawn of the 18th century, Blackbeard stood out among the lawless rogues as the most fearsome and notorious seafarer of them all. He killed for the reputation, and his reputation has become legend. Now, for the first time, comes the true story of pirate Edward Teach, the man who terrorized the seas.
