THE OTHERWORLD REVIEWED
“The Otherworld” plays with many of the ideas that surrounded Dan Brown’s earlier books. Well-noted cult director Richard Stanley leads a semi-archaeological expedition into a bizarre region known as the Zone. Angels, celestial activity and other supernatural spookiness takes place here. Other than that, we’ve got nothing. As much as I love the junky cult docs of the late 1970s/early 1980s…this film doesn’t embrace that kind of cheese. This is a documentary that wants to be taken seriously to point of hurting its overall impact. Oh well, it’s still worth a viewing.
