THE PURGE: ELECTION YEAR REVIEWED
“The Purge: Election Year” keeps diving head deep into a world where murder is legal one night of the year. Foreign tourists pour into America to get in on the carnage, as our political system supports the evil. Elizabeth Mitchell does amazing well as the lone politician wanting to end Purge Night, but it’s up to Frank Grillo to keep her alive. Solid staging, excellent action sequences and a quick pace keeps everything alive. That being said, it’s got nothing on the second film. I don’t care how clever the musical choices in this film might seem to be.
