A LIZARD IN A WOMAN’S SKIN REVIEWED
“A Lizard’s in a Woman’s Skin” is the most sexually charged Giallo set in London. Playing with lesbian softcore fantasies and a pseudo Hitchcock subplot produces something interesting. After watching the film for the first time in years, I have to say that I’m much more interested in the film making an HD bow in North America. While the film is interesting, the effort of producing such an underground movie into 1080p remains staggering.
I once heard the film described as Brian DePalma directing an Austin Powers movie. Ever since then, that’s all I can see. If you dig the 1960s aesthetic and lesbian murder plots, this is for you. Other audiences might want to skip out on it.
