Turkey Hollow plays like Harper Lee's IP lawyer gave Henson's family notes on recycling material.
“Turkey Hollow” is a long-sitting Henson idea from back in the day when they were TV exclusive. Now, most of the original Henson team is dead and ideas are being dusted off to milk a new generation. While the Howling Hoodoo and the monsters of Turkey Hollow present fun visuals and ideas, I never feel like it’s something to entertain kids. Hell, it feels like a constantly repackaged mix of modern holiday specials matched to Henson puppetry. To call it unimpressive is an understatement, as I had to spend three viewings trying to get a small child to watch it. The DVD comes with no special features.
