“Jamestown’s Dark Winter” is a look at the many deaths during that first winter of the settlement. During an excavation, archaeologists piece together what went wrong and how the survivors made it to see the new year. When they find a teenage girl who seems to have been stabbed to death, they start conducting a murder investigation. Other things pop up in the search, but the effort remains intriguing. The DVD comes with no special features.
