“Last Knights” is a 300 stylized knock-off that wants to place Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman together in a centuries old throwback. It’s a multi-cultural tale of Ronin that band together to fight to avenge their master. The fight choreography is top notch, but it’s not an amazing film. Still, I can see how some might have fun with it.
The Blu-Ray comes with featurettes, interviews and a trailer gallery as the special features. You also get a Digital HD copy, if that’s your bag. The 1080p transfer pops, even though it plays dark. The DTS-HD 5.1 track creates a nice soundstage. In the end, I’d recommend a rental or stream.
