“The Day the 60s Died” is a new look at the Kent State shooting. Over the course of an hour, we get to see how the Ohio National Guard’s missteps at Kent State created such an unnecessary tragedy. While a great deal of the matter has been sensationalized by the never-ending Baby Boomer nostalgia machine. One should never forget that the proper response to violence against Youth is active rage. But, now we have Tumblr and we’ll never get CSNY protest songs again. The DVD comes with no special features.
