This is the section for people that still read books.

Over the years, I have learned that I’m wasting my breath on many book purchase recommendations. So, here’s an overview.

This was the year that I started to love Madden again. It’s also the year that my disdain for others has grown to record highs. Not that it’s a bad thing. It’s just indicative of my mood and my current nature of not trusting anyone or anything.

Much like Battlefront, I spent the year examining media and materials that were only superficially appealing. While they would evoke things I liked in the past, their innards were holy as hell. I have no idea who the games appeal to, as any individual merit has long been watered out to appeal to Major League Gamers and kids that have been taught to accept less as more.

I’m only covering XBOX One versions of game, as I hate the PS4. Not really anything about the system, it’s just that everyone I know plays it and I didn’t get one. So, masterful spite and all of that noise.

This is where I suggest video games and video game accessories. I tell you what.

I feel bad for gaming fans, as they’re screwed over by their industry and its related detractors. Yet, they don’t have the ability to shift public perspective to the obvious failures of those that would slander it. But, these same people also ruthlessly doxx detractors and attack in open forums. Like I’ve said before to many readers and outside commentators, I’m not taking sides on the issue. It’s just that I wish both sides of the matter could actually interact with civility.

But, what can you do? One side doesn’t know how to attack a problem in the civil and modern sense. While the other side is outright lying and covering up many things with the help of an established media consortium. Times like these make me wish that a ton of the GG folk who contact me would’ve read Phil Owen’s book without trying to blast holes through it. It’s not a final argument, but an opening to a greater discussion.

Does anyone use EA Access? The price is right for me to play golf and older football games on it. I just want a hands-on view of the material.

A ton of you have children and you need to buy them presents. I have corporate masters that require my mentioning of things I’ve covered in the past year.

BUY THEIR STUFF ALREADY!

Basically, just go back through the archives and pick out a variety of PBS and/or BabyFirst titles to pick up.

ShopPBS or Amazon would be your best outlet for those titles. Honestly, I’d also look at second hand stores for older titles. Kid stuff seems to be quite plentiful anymore on DVD and beyond.

Your kids already want all of the Star Wars stuff. Boys and girls can both build their own Kylo Ren style lightsabers and practice lobbing off appendages. You can follow them and talk about how the arm removal was a reference to Sanjuro. The kids will humor you, while your spouse grows emotionally distant from you.

Patti LaBelle made Sweet Potato pies for Wal-Mart that couldn’t sell worth a damn until a gay man made a YouTube video. I find that hilarious, but the pies are pretty good too.

It plays a little too sweet for me, but others should enjoy it.

There’s nothing major to this. I just want Mark Hamill to sign and give me one of these cards. Well, he could do that or give me a Corvette Summer poster. The idea is that I want Hamill to give me something. I don’t know why, that’s not how this works.

PRO TIP

Bet heavy on the Patriots ahead of their November 29th game against the Broncos. Peyton Manning is supposed to be out for the match-up and the Pats are going to destroy Brock Osweiler. Pick up some easy money to pay for the Holidays.

WHY HAVEN’T YOU BOUGHT YOUR TICKETS YET?!?!?!?

Everyone’s going to hate you if they don’t see it opening weekend. Kids will tell you who died, who became a Jedi and who slut shamed Luke Skywalker into hiding from Leia and Han.
