The Dick Cavett Show: Inside The Minds of Vol. 1

The Dick Cavett Show is the gift that keeps on giving. The difference between the news and comedy specialty releases is that the comedians seem to have been edited into a far more focused presentation. The first release kinda rambled, while this one laser focuses in on the highlighted talent. All of the material feels incredibly dated now and slight when compared to recent Robin Williams releases. But, I love seeing vintage Bobcat Goldthwait.

Inside The Minds highlights four legendary comedians and does a fairly good job. Apparently, there’s a second volume that I’ve yet to see. If you’ve seen it let me know. Either way it goes, if you like watching real interviews with comedians, go for it. If not, then pass.
