SATAN’S CHEERLEADERS REVIEWED
“Satan’s Cheerleaders” is one of those films that makes me glad for VCI. That little company always had a knack for finding deep-cut drive-in fare that combined sex with horror. That’s when you are taken aback by how little nudity is in the film. If that wasn’t enough, the odd cameos from Yvonne DeCarlo and John Carradine will only leave you further scratching your head. Was this an honest horror movie or just a comedy? Oh well, I think I saw Dean Cundey’s name in the credits.
If you can get the one sentence plot, then you understand the film. Creepy school janitor offers up cheerleaders to Satanists for blood sacrifice. What is so great about this disc is that you get to watch the original rough print of the film and you get a cleaned-up master. It’s the best of both worlds, as you get to watch nubile young things die. This is where the Matt Laurer joke used to be before good taste made me digitally replace it with Christopher Plummer.
