This was Roger Rees' last performance. Show some respect for The Pilgrims.
“The Pilgrims” shows what Religious fundamentalists can do with zero preparation and the kindness of local natives. The re-enactments with Roger Rees as William Bradford are strong. But, I don’t see the attempts at dispelling the myths around Thanksgiving. We get some service paid to the natives being treated bad by the Pilgrims and how the Pilgrims really should’ve died during their travels. There’s just a ton of back and forth without the documentary ever taking a harsh stand on a statement. The DVD comes with deleted scenes and interviews as the special features.
