WARM BODIES 4K REVIEWED
“Warm Bodies” looks stunning in 4K. I’d bore you with the details about zombie apocalypse done with humor, but people have seen this movie by now. What matters with this disc is that it continues to show why Dolby Vision pops over HDR. While matching a truer to life film look, you get smoother scene shifts and an almost infinite field of depth. If that wasn’t enough, the Atmos track punches up in terms of having 3D Audio.
While the film plays short, the final attack on the compound makes everything come together. That being said, Lionsgate is on a recent string of killing it with these 4K titles. Now, if we could just get other studios to follow the same playbook. More movies need to be released in Dolby Vision now. It’s enough of a difference that it’s making me second guess buying titles that are HDR only. These discs might be the best home video presentations I ever seen. I’m not even the biggest fan of “Warm Bodies”, but I watched the film three times in the last 2 weeks. This is reference quality material.
