DON’T TORTURE A DUCKLING REVIEWED
“Don’t Torture a Duckling” is Fulci’s attempt to tackle an almost Billy Wilder like giallo film. A small town is suddenly awash in dead little boys. A gypsy is being tagged by the cops, but there is a great truth behind all of this. All the while, Barbara Bouchet spends the film lounging nude in the quality scenes. Naturally, it’s a film for the entire family.
Arrow restores the movie in a way that I’ve never seen before. Colors pop and the film looks less like a forgotten canister discovered in a barn. If you want to see Fulci tackle the Catholic Church, then this is your movie. If you want artful looks into Giallo, then check your local arthouse. Suspiria should be coming in 4K to your local nerd burg.
