C STREET REVIEWED
“C Street” is funny enough. While the movie plays as a modern political take on “The Apartment”, it doesn’t offer anything past that. An ambitious intern loans his place out for politicians to have sex. The politicos are corrupt and dumb. People laugh and annoying political bases are targeted. Put it all together and you have a big steaming cup of meh.
That’s pretty surprising given the nature of the cast. One can’t say that there isn’t amazing acting in the film. It’s just that nothing ever matters. No one ever gets their comeuppance and the jokes get old after the first iteration. I’d give it a shot as a rental or stream. It’s just that there’s almost no replay value for the movie. I hate throwing that label up there, but that’s what’s going on.
