MY SCIENCE PROJECT REVIEWED
“My Science Project” is another entry in the 80s fantasy obsession with nostalgia. Dennis Hopper plays a science teacher yearning for the 1960s while trying to buddy pressure John Stockwell into living up to his potential. Throw in a bookish girl and Fisher Stevens acting like a reference dropping caucasian for a swell time. While the film had a cult following on cable and VHS for years, its appeal has diminished over the last 15-20 years. It’s not a film that I’d call amazing, but it’s a fun Sci-Fi outing that deserves a viewing.
