MI-5 REVIEWED
“MI-5” feels more like an extended TV movie than a feature film. I understand that the film is a continuation of the British show “Spooks”, but there’s just so much baggage attached to it. The central premise is two British cops have to track down a terrorist before he attacks London. Most of that action stemming from a botched handover. Kit Harington keeps trying to make an effort to exist outside of Game of Thrones, but fails to do so.
It’s hard to be a leading man, but I wonder if this stuff fairs better in England. I feel the same about “24”, but even that show had a UK component during its revival. What is it about England and those kind of shows? I need a reader to explain that one to me. Also, why is this the kind of film that I get to see early on DirecTV?
