“Mind of a Chef” is still in its fourth season, as the focus shifts to David Kinch. Chef Kinch is a West Coast cook who is influenced by mainline French cuisine. I’ve read a ton about Manresa, but I can’t say that I ever heard of Kinch’s restaurant being that much of a tastemaker. Sure, the eight episodes presented want to serve as a PR piece for Chef Kinch’s brilliance. I just enjoyed the time he spent going to New Orleans to cook with his buddies. The DVD comes with no special features.
