“The Jeffersons” returns for an eighth season with George getting stabbed and Lionel having to get his woman back. It was a filler season, but there were big comedic moments. George accidentally getting a dog killed, delivering a baby and getting stabbed in the side. This was a comedy in 1981-1982, people. Lacking the social trappings of the other Lear shows, “The Jeffersons” existed to be funny. I guess that’s why they stayed on the air for so long. The DVD comes with no special features.
