THE PLOT THUS FAR

Kate and Humphrey and their three wolf cubs (Stinky, Claudette and Runt) are happily preparing to celebrate their first winter holidays together when their smallest cub, Runt, mysteriously disappears. They must now go on a journey across the wilderness to find and bring back Runt before the winter festivities begin at home. While their adventure does not end exactly as intended, in the end Kate and Humphrey must make new holiday plans, but discover that “home is where the family is.”

WHAT WE THOUGHT

“A Howl-iday Adventure” is the second Alpha and Omega film. I don’t know what else you need to know about a show that has talking animals spending the holidays together. What I don’t get is if it’s Christmas or if it’s some sort of Pagan holiday. I’d get that animals would be Pagan, since they’re all dumb and they think that the water is the ground urinating or something. Is that what canines think? I asked my dog, but she didn’t answer me. She never answers me. Oh well, let’s talk about the film a bit.

Kate and Humphrey continue to spend most of the sequels taking a back seat to their kids. It’s their first Christmas together, but the little one disappears. Now, the family teams up to find a way to bring everyone back together for Christmas. That’s right, the Wolves celebrate Christmas with all of its feral ornate religious trappings. That’s what Wolf Jesus would’ve wanted.

The Blu-Ray comes with a DVD copy, Digital HD copy, featurettes, trivia and a game as the special features. The A/V Quality is amazing when compared to the third installment of this series which got a Blu-Ray release before this one. The 1080p transfer pops for DTV digital animation. The same can be said for the DTS-HD 5.1 master audio track. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to parents.
