Arrow Video has revealed another fantastic month of cult film Blu-ray releases coming in August 2023.
Leading the slate on August 22nd is a 4K UHD edition of the beloved 1985 teen sci-fi comedy Weird Science directed by John Hughes. Newly restored and packed with extras, it will satisfy fans of this raunchy special effects-driven romp.
The same day sees the Blu-ray debut of the 1971 British thriller Unman, Wittering and Zigo, featuring David Hemmings as a new teacher at a troubled boarding school. Brand new commentary and appreciations dive deep into this obscure gem.
On August 29th, Arrow unleashes New Fist of Fury, the Bruce Lee tribute sequel starring a young Jackie Chan in his feature film debut. A new 2K restoration presents two different cuts of this martial arts classic loaded with vintage extras.
Rounding out the month, Arrow offers the controversial 2009 remake of Wes Craven’s grindhouse shocker The Last House on the Left in a 4K Ultra HD limited edition. An unrated cut, new interviews and more await gorehounds.
