Take Back the Night is the first feature film from director Gia Elliott. It’s quite a fascinating tale about monster hunting in a new age of truth. I’m really surprised that something like this has never been created before now.
Too often we get horror films dealing with unreliable narrators and other ways to discount people telling their stories. So, why not have a horror film about the victimized using narrative to go after their monsters?
It’s an incredible thing that feels like it has dwelled in the book world for too long. Now is the time for indie horror to step up and carry it to the next level.
