Maze is based on the 1983 mass breakout of IRA prisoners back in 1983. Don’t worry if you don’t know about it. We’re Americans and the rest of the world doesn’t catch our attention. While I can feel our European contingent getting mad over our dismissal of the Troubles, let’s try this shoe on the other foot. What can you tell me about the Freedom Riders? How’s about a quick chat about the Weather Underground? Exactly.
The Blu-ray comes with a director’s commentary and a bonus film. The A/V Quality is pretty sharp for an international release. Still, I’d love to see this released as a box set with other films about the Troubles. I’d recommend it to the curious.
