COMEDY CENTRAL Records(R) to Release Maria Bamford’s ‘Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome’ CD/DVD on Tuesday, April 21

Maria Bamford is one of the most uniquely talented comedians of her generation – master of voices and character work, a lover of pugs and a very nice lady. Her new CD/DVD, “Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome,” will be released on COMEDY CENTRAL Records on Tuesday, April 21.

Taped at the Upright Citzens Brigade Theater in Hollywood, CA last August, Bamford has put together another album that showcases her life and overactive imagination. The CD contains almost an hour of hilarious stories told with characters in her inimitable idiosyncratic style and the DVD features 90 minutes of fantastic video shorts which originally appeared as “The Maria Bamford Show” Web series on Super Deluxe.

Bamford is well-known from her two “COMEDY CENTRAL Presents” specials, two critically-acclaimed and strong-selling earlier CDs, her starring role in “The Comedians Of Comedy,” Fox’s new series “Sit Down, Shut Up,” numerous appearances on all of the major talk shows and from her extensive touring of the country.

Previously released recordings by COMEDY CENTRAL Records include: Jim Gaffigan’s “King Baby, John Mulaney’s “The Top Part,” Mitch Hedberg’s “Do You Believe in Gosh?,” Dane Cook’s platinum-selling “Harmful If Swallowed” and double-platinum “Retaliation,” Grammy Award-winning “Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance,” Grammy Award- nominees’ Steven Wright’s “I Still Have A Pony” and George Lopez’s “American’s Mexican,” Bo Bunrham’s “Bo Burhnham.” Joe Rogan’s “Shiny Happy Jihad”, Christopher Titus’s “5th Annual End Of The World Tour,” Norm Macdonald’s “Ridiculous,” Demetri Martin’s “These Are Jokes,” “Jim Gaffigan: Beyond The Pale,” Mike Birbiglia’s “My Secret Public Journal Live,” D.L. Hughley’s “Notes From The GED Section,” and “Strategic Grill Locations” and Dave Attell’s “Skanks For The Memories.”
