Winter Passing was a film that I remembered arriving years ago, then never hearing anything about it. The film is about a book editor wanting to buy the love letters of quirky academics. Naturally, their kid is Zooey Deschanel and she has to mini-Uke her way back into the livers of her widowed dad. He sleeps outside, plays golf inside and lives with Will Ferrell.
It’s a fun indie comedy drama, but nothing really tugs at the brain. If you are a fan of Ed Harris or Zooey Deschanel, then this will do it for you. Otherwise, it’s barely a rental.
