Traditional Wild America: Duck Hunting on the Santee Delta is a fascinating series. I conducted an interview with the series creator about a month ago, but re-watching the series showed me something. Casual lifestyle shows about rural living and interests don’t get respected anymore. Sure, Garden and Gun is becoming popular in certain circles. But, I love how this show is making this kind of life cool for the masses.
The DVD comes with bonus content that backs up what we see in the show. You get to learn gun safety for kids. Plus, there’s a segment on a venison mustard fry. That by itself is enough to make watch this show super closely. What can I say? I love deer meat!
You also get a Bloody Mary recipe. I love it when people combine drinking and hunting. It helps keep people awake when out in the wild.
