Two awkward people find love.
“Slow Learners” is a painfully awkward movie about the dynamics of cringe. Specifically, how they relate to personal delays in hitting greater milestones. The film is buoyed by a selection of cameos and the natural ability of Pally & Burns. But, what else is there? Both leads are fun to watch panic and flop, but what else is there?
It’s 97 minutes of two people trying to progress further in life by being worse together. You know these people and enjoy them to a degree. But, the film doesn’t get that luxury of space. In real life, you do get to leave these people alone unless you married them. The DVD comes with a trailer as the sole special feature.
