“Pastor Brown” and “Sins of the Mother” are two Lifetime movies that might as well be the same thing. One’s an alcoholic, one’s a dying parent. The family woes are there, as they trade in the theatrics that plague the urban theater scene. Still, Jill Scott and Ernie Hudson rarely get these times to shine as featured players. While the films aren’t cool, I like seeing these guys get better roles. The DVD comes with no special features.
