“Nocturna” answers the question of what “Treme” would be like with vampires. If you said “unwatchable”, you might not be wrong. Two NOLA detectives are having to solve a string of bizarre murders. The Mayor and their superiors stand their way, but they eventually discover a secret cult of vampires doing the deed. There are new details about the vampires that break mythos standards. Their blood is poisonous to humans and other grimdark level Twilight stuff.
The cast is made up of “HEY IT’S THAT GUY” actors, but nobody really stands out. Back in the day, this is the kind of schlock that I used to love to watch on Up All Night. Now, it just feels empty in an overstuffed world of horror films. The A/V Quality is typical for standard definition. The DVD comes with no special features.
