NIGHT SCHOOL REVIEWED
“Night School” is starting to experience a bit of a mini-revival. This is why I don’t understand newer horror nerds. The classics are classics, the recent revivals tend to follow a set path and then the new additions matter. This film is an outlier that exists as this weird early predictor of where the Friday the 13th franchise was heading by way of late era British horror. Yet, it’s an academic horror film set in Boston. But, it’s also a tit movie with carnage.
Over the next 89 minutes, the film fought its way through trying to find a point. But, dem titties. The only truly enjoyable section of the film involves finding the location of a severed head. I put this here as a favor for those that might not be a favor of the copious breasts that seem to mark the end and beginning of each film reel. Lorimar was an odd production house, but I’m glad to see Warner Brothers delving deep into that library.
