“Meet Me There” flew under my radar. But, I have to admit that I’m glad that I got to see it. The film starts with a young couple having trouble in the bedroom. They decide to venture back to the lady’s hometown to see if there is something in her past causing the coital blockade. It’s not long before things get odd.
Comic superstar artist Jill Thompson, Dustin Runnels (Goldust) and others litter a landscape of bizarre happenings. Taking a step between dream and reality, Lex Lybrand has created a low budget wonderland. Apparently, the material was based on the real nightmares of Destiny Talley. I don’t know if I should know who that is, but I’d like to meet them.
The DVD comes with interviews and a trailer as the special features. The A/V Quality is quite sharp for an indie feature. The transfer is sharp enough. Plus, the Dolby track keeps all action alive. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase.
