The Giant King looks a DTV version of Robots.
“The Giant King” is Waiting for Godot by way of the Defiant Ones. Two robots wake up chained together looking for their creator. From there, it’s the usual jokes and CG cartoon highlight reel of robot action. There’s juvenile laughs to be had, but what else is there? Am I wrong to expect to see something other than getting from Point A to Point B? Knowing that this started life as a foreign cartoon, I wonder if something went missing in the translation. The DVD comes with featurettes, bonus episodes and a trailer gallery as the special features.
