The movie follows the story of Herma Frigg, a pregnant woman who runs away from a bad relationship and discovers a magical ring in the basement of the house where she is house-sitting. As she puts on the ring, she becomes possessed and experiences strange dreams. Herma sleepwalks to visit Peter O’Neill, a pre-teen horror movie buff living next door, and an unusual bond develops between them. However, as Herma’s body transforms and her mind deteriorates, Peter must find a way to help her and save her unborn baby.
